We're hosting a Golf Taster night for Women looking to get into Golf.

Aimed at Women who might want to give golf a try for the first time. More experienced Women golfers also welcome to join in and assist.

Tuesday 3rd June 5.30pm onwards. This is a Free to attend session

Simon Appleton our PGA Pro will be giving the tuition. We will play a couple of holes and do a putting competition to win a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates.
Everyone welcome.
There will be a chance afterwards for a drink and a bite to eat in the clubhouse and to hand out the prizes from the putting competition.
Golf membership is available at Heworth Golf Club for only £399 for new Women joining us.
This is a completely free night so come and give Golf a try.
We look forward to welcoming some new aspiring Women golfers to Heworth Golf Club on Tuesday 3rd June.

David King, our 2025 Club Captain has chosen Cancer Research UK as his chosen Captain's charity. David will be raising as much money as possible right thought his year in office for this very important Charity. We are confident all members will support him in his calendar year as Captain of Heworth Golf Club. Thank you.

We held the Captain's Charity Day on Sunday 11th May in beautiful, sunny conditions raising money for the Captain's Charity "Cancer Research UK". 60 Players took part in a best 2 from 4 Stableford format.
The day was won by our ladies team of Victoria Moulton, Michelle Burch, Julie Copley and Mandy Liddell with a superb score of 19 under par, 91 Stableford points with a winning margin of 7 points. Congratulations ladies on your win.
A raffle was hosted and a guess the Captains Drive Competition was won by Mark Taylor with the correct guess of 224 yards. A magnificent drive David King.
The day raised a total of £540 for Cancer Research UK.

We saw a healthy turnout of 67 players taking part in the May Medal played Saturday 3rd May.
Wayne Whitley came home with the best Net card of the day scoring a Gross 90 off 26 handicap for a Net 64. Congratulations Wayne on winning the May Medal.

The first qualifier of the year from the white tees was played Saturday 5th April in the April Medal. Once again, the course proved how difficult it can be with scoring difficult. Congratulations to Billy Forder winning the Medal with a Gross 87 for a net 68.

Sunday 30th March saw us host a bit of a fun competition, the 4 Club Challenge. One of the clubs selected had to be a putter leading to a difficult choice which 3 clubs to choose for every golfer. The day was won by Ash Martindale with a very commendable score of 35 Stableford Points. Well done Ash.

The first silverware of the season was decided on Saturday 15th March. The final of the winter competition, the Plummer Trophy was won by Neil Ferguson and Fraser Taylor winning the Trophy by just the 1 hole with the final going to the very last putt on the 18th Green. Neil and Fraser narrowly edging out Dave Smith and Steve Bellerby in a tight contest. Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who has taken part in this winters knockout.
